How to make them[]
Wood[]
A wooden tool rod can be crafted in the part builder which gives you one rod and one stick from one block wooden planks, but normal sticks work just as well.
Stone[]
Stone tool rods can be made in two ways and work with both cobblestone and stone, either you craft the rod in the part builder which gives you one rod and one stone shard so a total of two rods per block. The other way is to craft them is in any normal crafting area(crafting bench or inventory) place two blocks vertically and you will get stone tool rods, two rods if cobblestone, four rods if stone.
Flint[]
A flint tool rod can be made in the part builder which gives you a flint tool rod and a flint shard.
Cactus[]
A cactus tool rod can be crafted in the part builder with a cactus block which gives you a cactus tool rod and a cactus shard.
Bone[]
A bone tool rod can be crafted in the part builder which gives you a bone tool rod and bone meal, a normal bone works as well but crafted in the part builder is cheaper.
Obsidian[]
Obsidian tool rods can either be crafted in the part builder which gives you one obsidian tool rod and one obsidian shard, but it is also possible to make one out of melted obsidian in the smeltery.
Netherrack[]
A netherrack tool rod is crafted in the part builder which gives you one netherrack tool rod and one netherrack shard.
Slime Ball[]
To make a slime tool rod you first need a slime crystal, and to get a slime crystal you need to bake slimy mud in a furnace. To get slimy mud you need four blue slimeballs, one dirt and one sand anyway you want it in a crafting bench.
Paper[]
A paper tool rod can be crafted in the part builder which gives you one paper tool rod and two papers.
Alumite[]
Alumite tool rods can only be cast from the smeltery.

Cobalt tool rods can only be cast from the smeltery.
Ardite[]
Ardite tool rods can only be cast from the smeltery.
Mayullyn[]
Mayullyn tool rods can only be cast from the smeltery.
Copper[]
Copper tool rods can only be cast from the smeltery.

Bronze tool rods can only be cast from the smeltery.
