Steel is a rare ingot that cannot be found in nature.
Obtaining[]
Steel is created by melting down full durability chainmail armor. Chainmail armor can only be obtained through either trading with villagers, finding it in dungeon chests, or killing mobs wearing it.
It should be noted that Tinkers' Construct Steel is compatible with that from other mods, including Railcraft, Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, Metallurgy, Galacticraft 2, Artifice, EnderIO, Techgun. Any of these can be melted down in a Smeltery to yield Molten Steel.
